Hi everyone!
Today I want to discuss a serious and tricky question that all avid readers are familiar with debating: ebook or 'real' book? I personally jump between both - whatever is conviniet - but which one is better, more enjoyable. Remember, this is just my opinion, feel free to write you thoughts down in the comments below. Hey Guys! Today I would like to reccomend the Hetty Feather series by Jaqueline Wilson. Hetty Feather is a series about a young, ambitious girl called Hetty (although with each book she discovers a new name) and it is set in the Victorian era. I am now on book three and have not been ableto put it down, Hetty is such a great character. I intend to read all the books. Here is the blurb from book one: London, 1876 and Hetty Feather is just a tiny baby when her mother leaves her at the Foundling Hospital. The Hospital cares for abandoned children - but Hetty must first live with a foster family until she is big enough to go to school. Life in the countryside is hard but with her 'brothers' Jem and Gideon, she helps in the fields and plays imaginary games. Together they sneak off to visit the travelling circus and Hetty is mesmerised by the show, especially Madame Adeline and her performing horses. But Hetty's happiness is threatened once more when she is returned to the Foundling Hospital. The new life of awful uniforms and terrible food is a struggle for her. But now she has the chance to find her real mother. Could she really be the wonderful Madame Adeline? Or will Hetty find the truth is even more surprising? If you have read it, why not write a review in the comment section below... 😄 Bye! 😄 Hey guys! I want to recommend to you the Willow Falls series. I have only read the first two books (11 Birthdays and Finally 12) The books are written by author Wendy Mass. If you like magic then these books are perfect for you because the series is all about normal kids in the normal world but in each book weird things keep happening and they have to try and solve the problems. But it also focuses on friendship and how important friends are when bad things happen. I am really looking forward to reading the other three books: 13 Gift, The Last Present and Graceful! I highly recommend these books to girls aged between 10 and 15 although I think older girls would like it if they liked books with funny, magical twists and happy endings! 😄 Sweet Pea 😄 The summer. Some see it as a time to travel to exotic places and sunbathe. Others ( such as me!) See it as a time to kick back and relax with one of your favourite books.
I had eight weeks of holiday this summer so PLENTY of time to read loads of books! The two books that I most enjoyed were Girl Online and Girl online: On Tour. Both books are written by Zoe Sugg (AKA Zoella!). I would describe these books as a 'chick-lit'! I would recommend these books to any teenage girls although I think some young women could still enjoy it! I don't want to spoil it but it is about a girl called Penny who suffers from anxiety but when her parents take here to New York for Christmas, she might finally find someone who can help her and understand her... I think most girls can relate to Penny's worries about "fitting in" and "being in the cool squad" and that is why I think you would enjoy it so much! I cant wait for the third book to come out (Girl Online: Going Solo)! Here is a link to Zoe's blog: www.zoella.co.uk/ and here is a link to here Youtube channel: www.youtube.com/user/zoella280390. Click on these to find out a bit more about her! 😄 Sweet Pea 😄 |
